¶ Cat Types
Cat Bot uses a rarity-based system where cats are divided into different rarity tiers. Common cats appear more frequently, while rare and special cats have lower spawn chances. This system affects collection progress and achievements.
There are currently 22 cat types in total. Check the table below for reference (all numbers are rounded to the nearest hundredth):
If a cat type isn't caught in a server, it will show up as ??? (
), so if you don't see a cat type on your list, that's why.

¶ Custom Cats
These exclusive cats can only be obtained by supporters. Any cats outside of the above table are Custom cats, and will be placed after the eGirl cat in the inventory globally. These have no value, and don't count towards the total number of cats. Only one type can be had at a time, and they can't be /trade-d or /gift-ed.
The custom cat can be changed/added using /customcat [SUPPORTER-ONLY]
¶ Cat Type History
Cat bot first spawned a cat on April 21st 2022
On April 21st 2022, the available cats likely changed several times.
On April 22nd, many cats were renamed, a rarity system was added, and original icons were drawn. There were only 12 cats: Fine, Nice, Good, Rare, Wild, Epic, Brave, Superior, Legendary, Mythic, Divine, and Ultimate. [1]
The Professor Cat was likely added around April 25th. [2]
The remaining modern cats types were added on September 19th 2022.[3]

¶ Trivia
- Before the texture update on June 20th 2024, the sprites were hand-drawn by Lia Milenakos. Images of the old sprites can still be found here.
- After the texture update, the regular AND event sprites were hand-drawn by TheTrashCell instead.
- The value calculation is:
100/(Spawn Chance %); an average catch has 22 value. - Special catch messages of some cats (by default) are listed below:
