¶ Info
The Dark Market was a hidden, unlockable area found in the /achievements command, and was the only area along with /slots with some kind of canon Cat Bot lore.
¶ Unlocking the Dark Market
After the user had collected at least 20 Fine cats, there was a 1/11 chance of a button that says "You see a shadow..." to appear on any cat you catch. Clicking this button will have dialogue appear which grants instructions on how to access the Dark Market. If you missed it then don't worry, it will appear again.
¶ Accessing the Dark Market
The Dark Market was accessed by clicking the "Hidden" category in the /achievements command 3 times. It could only be entered after the "You see a shadow..." button has been clicked so you couldn't have cataine early game. After this a hidden message would've appear prompting you to purchase Cataine.
¶ Cataine
Cataine lasted 12 hours whenever you buy it. It was used to double the amount of cats whenever you catch a cat, which could also be stacked with prisms and blessings. When you catch a cat while it's active, it will say "🧂 cataine worked! your catch got doubled!". But when it expires, it will say "your cataine buff has expired. you know where to get a new one 😏" after you catch a cat, indicating that you should go back to the Dark Market to get a new one.
¶ Cataine Prices
The prices for Cataine get more expensive as you purchase more. Here are the prices for each Cataine:
There was a limit of 10 Cataine available for purchase in the Dark Market. Once you have bought all Cataine, a minigame will start after you try to buy the 11th Cataine (and you don't need the amount shown) to get more from a different place, which has harsher prices.

¶ The Mafia Hideout
Once you have bought all 10 Cataine from the Dark Market and have completed the story defeated the Dog Mafia, you'll unlock The Mafia Hideout (also known as the Light Market), which will permanently replace the Dark Market.
The hideout will offer you between 3 and 5 Cataine per week. The prices are randomly selected from the special Mafia Hideout Cataine Price Table and may include duplicate prices.

These prices for Cataine are more harsh than the Dark Market. The prices are chosen from this table:

- That's not funny anymore. Those prices are insane.
- Because of my addiction I'm paying them a fortune.
- You: Hey, I'm not fine with those prices.
- ???: Hmm?
- ???: Oh.
- ???: It seems you don't understand.
- ???: We are the ones setting prices, not you.
- You: Give me a more fair price or I will report you to the police.
- ???: Huh?
- ???: Well, it seems like you chose...
- DEATH
- ???: Better start running
- Uh oh.

- You barely manage to turn around a corner and hide to run away.
- You quietly get to the police station and tell them everything.
- The next day.
- A nice day outside. You open the news:
- Dog Mafia, the biggest cataine distributor, was finally caught after anonymous report.
- HUH? It was dogs all along...

Even if you have 100 eGirl cats for the 11th Cataine, you wouldn't be able to buy it regardless.

There wasn't actually any time pressure for how fast you click the "RUN!" button, so you couldn't fail it for being too slow, although clicking the button too fast could make the button unpressable, causing a standstill.

The general process for finishing the minigame was clicking the button again just after the button loads by clicking.

You could restart the minigame cutscene if you haven't finished it by entering the Dark Market again.

The Mafia Hideout was added on May 25th 2024.

The old prices for Cataine at the Dark Market (before March 31st 2025) were the prices for Cataine at The Mafia Hideout.
