This event happened between February 13-18 2026 and had a 20% rain sale. The status changed from "Catting in X servers" to "Spreading love in X servers".

During the event, users could pick their valentine using /valentine command, with whom they shared their event progress. This event featured Valentine packs, which were obtained from either voting or catching 50 collective cats with your chosen valentine. Any Valentine packs gained (including from voting) would be given to both people in a pair.

During this April Fools, all cat types got visually swapped. This shouldn't have affected the actual cats, but a bug was found which allowed converting flipped cat types into actual cat types so everything was rolled back when the event ended.

During this April Fools, you were required to pass a CAPTCHA before catching a cat. This was done by redirecting users to a website with a reCAPTCHA which caught the cat upon completion. There was a bug which allowed you to catch cats in any channel (including private ones) and as any user by modifying the website link. This resulted in some users in Cat Stand getting absurdly big "slow catch" times by catching old cats from testing channels and users who never joined the server getting credit for catching cats.

This April Fools event had a very negative reception so further events no longer interrupt the catching flow.

During this April Fools:

Every cat emoji was a Fine cat to "avoid copyright fees".

"Ads" show on catches promoting different commands for "offsetting costs":

The bot and server logos got changed to the regular Staring Cat because of "high costs of the rainbow", the banner for the server was also removed and certain channels and Cat Bot's description were also changed to fit with the theme.
The server name "Cat Stand" got changed to "Budget Cut Stand" and the Cat Bot's status got changed from "Catting in # servers" to "Budget's cut in # servers" because of "budget cuts".

During this April Fools, 46 "new" "cat types" were added to the bot. These replaced Fine cats but acted exactly as Fine when caught (including boosts/achievements/quests etc)

The catch message for Fine cats was changed for this event:

There were stylised spawn images for these new cat types, but not emojis (they were just a mystery Fine cat with a question mark).

In 2024, there was an almost 20 hour long event held in a separate "Cat Bot Birthday" server which featured normal catching channels along with various minigames, giveaways and events throughout the day which rewarded Rains and Nitro Gifts.

During the 2025 event, every time you cought a cat, you contributed to the global goal of 1,000,000 pieces. You could view your progress, both server-wide and global, and the server progress, as well as the global progress, and a button to join Cat Stand in the temporary /event command.

After the goal, the image in the /event command appeared leading to an ARG. The ARG eventually went to the same birthday server from 2024.

The 1,000,000 pieces were collected in 3 days, with the ARG started on April 24th. The rain sale ended on April 26th.

Users were able to choose the new name for the Baby cat via a poll, with the options being "Tiny", "Mini", "Gremlin", and "Cute" which lasted 7 days. Gremlin ended up winning, accumulating 53% of the vote. The eventual rename happened on May 11th, 2026.

Users also got a Birthday pack for every Baby/Gremlin cat they caught and got 2 rain minutes for catching 10.

In Cat Stand, a channel called "#birthday-art-contest" was opened for art submissions.

The top 3 people who made the best art, as judged by Lia, won 100 rain minutes.
This event lasted 5 days.

A catching event that lasted 6 days, from August 7th to 13th 2026. For every unique cat type you caught, you would get a pack. The pack type was determined by how many catches everyone globally did, with it starting at Wooden and upgrading every million catches.

The event resulted in every participant getting Silver packs.

This event lasted from October 25th 2026 to November 1st 2026.

There was a 1 in 13 chance for cats to appear as ghosts. You could catch these to get Pumpkin packs which use a completely new custom opening system. There is a 50/50 chance of it being either trick (meh rewards) or treat (good rewards). Rewards include scratchcards, celestial packs, and rain minutes.

On October 28th 2026, the event was made easier:

• Ghost cat chance increased from 1/13 to 10%
• Late catching ghost cats now also counts towards your pack progres

You got an amount of snowflakes equal to the rounded spawn value of the cats you catch. 500 snowflakes are automatically converted into a Christmas pack. In addition Christmas packs were also in every voting reward.

This event lasted from December 22nd 2025 to January 1st 2026.

On June 29th 2025, when Cat Bot hit 100,000 servers, Lia gave away a lot of rain in various ways:

1. Cat Stand Giveaway

• People who joined Cat Stand and clicked the first reaction under the event newspost joined the 5 days long giveaway.
• There were a total of 10 winners who got 40 minutes each.

2. Art Contest

• A channel called "#100k-art-contest" was opened in Cat Stand for art submissions.
• The top 5 people who got the most community votes in 12 days got 250, 150, 100, 50 and 50 rain minutes respectively.

3. Cat Bot Event

• During the 5 days of the event, you got 15-25 points on all catches. If you managed to collect 1,000 server-wide points before the time runs out, you got 2 minutes of server-wide rain.

4. Rain Sale

• Cat Bot's shop had a 20% sale for 5 days.

The server count also added a "!" to celebrate the occasion.

This event lasted for 5 days, starting March 13th 2026.

During the event people could go to /news to vote for which reward they want: Platinum Packs or Rain Minutes.

The reward type everyone who voted got, including people who chose the losing option, was determined by whichever option gets more votes.

The prize amount would be however many millions of catches all Cat Bot users did during the event duration (Cat Bot usually averages ~400k a day).

• After the event, everyone who voted for either option got 2 free rain minutes, as per the vote result.

This event had 2 stages, coninciding with times during which the Cat Bot Plush was available to pre-order:

• May 4-14th 2026: during Makeship Petition
• July 14th - August 5th 2026: during Makeship Campaign

For the plush to become a reality, atleast 200 people had to pledge $3 during the Petition window, so it was advertised quite a lot:

• /plush was added.

• Advertisement chance was made to be 1 in 6.

• Every Miscellaneous quest required you to run /plush:

• Profile changed.

• Voting completion had plush embed.

The goal was achieved on May 12th, 2026.

People who participated in either part got a badge for it, however petitioning in the initial May event also gave you free 60 Rain Minutes.
