Prisms are probably one of the hardest things to ever get within Cat Bot. A prism is practically a badge of a user’s dedication to this bot and that it’s a sign to touch grass.
To craft a prism, you need one cat of every cat type (22 cats in total). Run the command /prism
, press the button which says "Craft!" and craft the prism. If you don’t have enough cats, Cat Bot tells you what cats you are missing.
Since prisms are crafted from one of every cat type, its value is the sum of every cat type, which is equal to about 6271.383
. The exact value can be expressed as 5,553,310,451/885,500 or 6271339951/885500.
Prisms have a chance to boost the cat type you caught to the next rarity type. For example, if you caught a Fine cat, then if the prism gets activated, it will boost it to a Nice cat, Nice cat to Good cat, Good cat to Rare cat, etc. Prisms also have the ability to boost the catching of others, but you will have a higher chance of your catch being upgraded, while you can also check the percentage rate of the prisms boost chance.
The server prism boost chance can be calculated like this: 0.06 * ln(2 * Total Prism Count + 1) * 100%
The exact user prism boost chance can be calculated like this: (Server Boost Chance + 0.03 * ln(2 * Owned Prism Count + 1)) * 100%
The displayed prism boost chance can be calculated like this: round(Exact Boost Chance, 3) * 100%
There can be only 520 prisms in each server. This is because the prism naming, in which "twenty" is the highest number which is written as a word in prism names, and "zulu" is the highest word. Hence, a server is only able to have 20 numbers * 26 words = 520 prisms. So this gives you even more motivation to create a prism quickly because there is a limited amount of prisms a user can make in a server.
Very important, don’t trade prisms with someone you don’t have full trust in since these are VERY rare and hard items to get. Be aware of what you trade since you may just never get those things back… |
Prisms are tradeable. By using the command /trade
and writing the prism name instead of the cat name, the prism you chose gets added to the trade.
If any of this is confusing to you and you still don’t know how prisms work or you need a better, clearer understanding of this, please don’t hesitate to ask one of our mods, admin or lovely owner Lia in our support server for complications. The channel name for this sort of thing is #🆘 | support.
Prisms were added to Cat Bot on 4th November 2024 but the idea appeared on 14th September 2024.
The old Cataine boost was the same as the prism boost but it got changed from boosting cat types to doubling the caught cats.
The prisms are named after the NATO phonetic alphabet, but because of the updated server prism limit of 520 prisms, after Zulu, it goes back to Alpha Two, then to Bravo Two, and so on until Zulu Twenty.
The old server prism limit caused the Zulu name to not exist until the update.
Prisms can’t disappear unless the commands /nuke
or /reset
are used.
If the prism boosts a natural eGirl cat, it fails. You will still get the eGirl cat and Cat Bot will start a 10 minute long rain. Cat Bot will display this message:
If a natural eGirl is caught during a rain and a prism tries to boost it, the rain will be extended by 10 minutes and Cat Bot will display this message:
On 11th December 2024, Prism Crafting requirement of having Cattlepass Level 30 was removed due to the Cattlepass overhaul.
If a forcespawned eGirl is boosted, it will display the rain messages but will not start/prolong a rain.
Prisms used to have a limit of 5 per person with 5% per owned prism and 25 per server with 1% per unowned prism before March 31, 2025, which also changed other stuff.
Continuing from above, there used to be a bug which allowed people to craft 2 prisms at once, resulting in people being able to have 6 or more prisms. It got patched afterwards.
However, as of The Prism Update of 31st March 2025, people can now craft more than 5 prisms.
Prisms used to be configurable.
Once you acquired a prism, you could run the /prism
button, press the "Configure" button, write the name of the prism that you wanted to configure. Then this menu would appear:
You could press the "Edit" button, and then write the name of the cat that you wanted to disable. Disabling the boost would prevent the prism from boosting cat types that you have disabled.
